Follow up from his call on Friday - he did not remember who he talked to.
He was given a quote for SDK kit of $495. for DEC UNIX, he wanted to know if
it included OpenGL and PEX support.
New question was if he wanted to run MS-WNT, does the above SDK kit include
"PAKS" for MS-WNT.

Called customer back to verify that SDK included OpenGL and PEX PAKS support. Also answered question about MS WNT support, that the SDK from DEC did not include MS WNT support, that they would have to go to MS for O/S and layered software porducts. Suggested signing up for MSDN Level 2 (professional Level) of support. Asked customer about what systems they had - DEC 3000/400 & 500. Told them that because these systems did not have a PCI bus, that these two models would not support MS WNT. Told him that he needed the newer AlphaStations 200/400/250/500/600 systems, to be able to run VMS, UNIX or MS WNT on these PCI bus based systems. | |||||
