Thanks for the core file. It will help out, but I'm going to need
some more explicit information also.
I need the output from these two commands:
uname -a
and
ld -V
This will give me the version number for ld and the OS. I know
you've said that you're running v4.0, but I want to make sure that
it is not v4.0a.
Also, I alluded to this in an earlier note, but I want to make sure again
that none of your libraries are accidentally from a different OS (perhaps
from a faulty installation procedure). I'm not worried about the system
libraries. Also, you mentioned:
Other than the system libs, the rest of the libs are in the form of
source code and are compiled at the same time using the same script.
I assume this means that you aren't pulling in object files from someplace.
Additionally if you could send me the entire make file, because I'm not getting
the exact compile line, and therefore I am not sure what's getting sent to
the linker. If you don't want to sned the makefile, please do a "make clean"
and add an additional flag "-v" to your cc flag list. This causes the compiler
to explicitly list the output from each pass of the compilation steps, and will
include the kind of information I'm looking for.
I'll need all the above before I can submit a report and get things fixed.
Then again, this was on a porting center machine... I just remembered...
tell me if it's going to be possible to get any of the above information.
Thanks,
Gerrit

I'd need to go to the porting center to get these info.

That's correct, I'm not pulling them from someplace.

Well, it seems like I'll have to go to the porting center to get this, too.
I'll email you once I got them.

| It's been a long time since the customer called and getting
the additional info I need requires him to make a special trip
to the porting center, and I don't expect he's going to have time
to do it. In the interest of bookkeeping I'm going to close this
note, opening again if neccessary.
