32.7 | The BEST in Italian! | ABACUS::BARROWS | | Tue Feb 11 1997 13:30 | 20 |
| Hi all,
Just *had* to put my 2 cents in on this one! If you like authentic
Italian food (the owner cooks it all!).. you just have to try
IL FORNO's restaurant in Fitchburg. It's on the corner of Airport Road
and Bemis Road. If you're not from the area, it's worth the trip.
It's been written about in all of the newspapers (Boston Globe,
Telegram, and a few others) and is praised for its Italian Cuisine and
brick oven baked pizza.
They serve no alcohol but you can bring whatever you'd prefer. It's
usually very busy, but they seem to get you in quickly. (They've
doubled the size of their seating/dining area since I've been going.)
They take reservations for parties of more than 4. Prices are a
mid-range and one meal usually goes home with me for another 2!
Portions are generous. Salad and garlic bread come with most dinners.
By the way, they do have soda, coffee and other non-alcoholic drinks.
Feel free to bring the kids, they have children's portions too.

Their pizza is good - haven't tried anything else - but the rest of
my family raves about it...

Cheng Du used to be my favorite for Chinese food -- until I tried the
Westboro Mandarin (rt. 30, just west of the circle). They have a
Sunday evening buffet, as well. I only like Chinese food when it
really tastes fresh.

32.11 | Good places in Nashua | STRATA::HUI | | Fri Mar 14 1997 11:32 | 18 |
| As for chinese food, I use to love "Uncle Cheung" in Framingham when I us
to live in that neck of the wood. Haven't been there for a while but I
heard it's still pretty good.
Now that I live up in Nashua, I usually go to the "Lilac Blossom" near to
the Saturn Dealer on Rt 101A in Nashua.
Also try a new inexpensive italian place called "Lui Lui" (use to be Xiam)
off DW HWY. A more expensive italian place is "Ya Mama's" near Sander off
of exit 6.
Enjoy,
Dave
