| The Digital Office Server MAPI Driver V4.0 EFT is planned to start
on 16th May. The Field Test Manager is Debbie Hellmann (Debbie
Hellmann @ REO). Field test site selection questionaires have
been sent to all customer sites who have requested to participate.
If you find you have been missed, or you wish to add a customer
request to participate please mail your request to the following

The kit will be available to internal sites through a web page.
The page location will be published in this notes conference when
the kit is available.
A summary of the functionality to be provided by the
Digital Office Server MAPI Driver V4.0 is as follows:
* Support for Microsoft Outlook 97 Client
The level of support will be restricted to the equivalent
functionality that the user gets with the Exchange Client
and support for the new Office 97 document formats.
The Time and Task management options will not be supported.
* Enhanced Addressing Support
In MAPI V1.0, if the user enters a free-form address which
is a Message Router, SMTP, X.400 or VMS Mail type address,
the address would not be resolved. In MAPI V4.0 these
addresses will be accepted if the server supports that
address type.
* Improved Address Parsing to recognise full name addresses
in the form "Firstname Lastname", and find matches for both
fully-entered and partially-entered full names
* Add and Remove Drawers
* Manage Shared Drawers
* Manage Groups
* Automatic reconnection to the File Cabinet Server after
a failure
* Improved reservation support to enable users to see who has
reserved a document, and when.

| The DIGITAL Office Server MAPI Driver V4.0 EFT kit is now available.
Internal sites can access the kit via the WEB page:

To obtain the kit, follow the pointer to "Field Test Registration" and
then to "Field Test Registration Form".
