I keep hearing about the 64DD. And that some of the games are going to need this. Does anyone know what this is about ??? thanks Dayl

Actually its somewhere between a floppy/cd rom. Its a magnetic disk storage medium. Larger than a 3.5" floppy with a faster read/write access. It will plug into the bottom of the base unit. Due to it being writable future games could be customized to the user making endless possibilities to say configure a character. Not due out in Japan until Q4 97, don't expect to see it in the US until Q2 98. Its supposed to give added flexibility to cartridge games by making it writable. Also the added memory space as mentioned in -1. Price rumours are $200. Other uses include add on levels to exhisting games, new games themselves, and new games in conjunction with the disk drive.
