This isn't the best conference for asking questions on RAID licensing
and RAID upgrades.
Try looking around under WebIR (http://webir.das.dec.com/) for the
contact information for the particular RAID package you've sold, and
contact the folks directly responsible for the particular product.
(We need the package name or part number -- "RAID" is a relatively
generic term that could be applied to a number of DIGITAL packages.)
Bryan Cox and Karen Fay are two contacts for the StorageWorks RAID
package, if that's the particular RAID package involved...

107.2 | Not likely RAID Software for OpenVMS | COOKIE::FROEHLIN | VMS...riding into the setting sun! | Thu May 15 1997 15:27 | 8 |
| You're amazing Steve...the walking ANALOG library of DIGITAL stuff ;-).
But .0 doesn't sound like RAID Software for OpenVMS. Hence Bryan Cox
and Karen Fay very likely won't have the answer.
What's the order number involved in .0?
Guenther (with RAID Software Eng. hat on)

107.4 | Understanding Licensing Policies Requires Reading... | XDELTA::HOFFMAN | Steve, OpenVMS Engineering | Fri May 16 1997 14:14 | 11 |

One really needs to look at SPDs, the Terms and Conditions, and the
Price Book for this sort of information -- without this background
information, the licensing policies and practices can appear truely
byzantine, baroque, and bizzare. (Well, some would say they are,
but I digress.)
There are relatively few folks around that can authoritatively answer
these sorts of questions, and these folks seldom answer notes postings.
Among others, see http://www.digital.com/info/software-licensing/.
