106.0. "HSZ40 / A2100 problem." by IB004::DELGADO (Jorge Delgado @ZQO) Mon May 12 1997 12:30
Hi,
We're having a problem with a dual HSZ40 configuration on a SW500
cabinet connected to a A2100. Up to date, there were four raid5 sets
(D1, D100, D200, D300) and a mirrorset, working fine. Last weekend
we added two raid5 (D102 and D201). The problem is that the generation
of a file that in any of the old raidsets took only 8 minutes, but on
any of that new raidsets it takes 1,30 hours!
We suspect that there's a problem of subluns (D100 with D101 and D200
with D201), but can't tell who's responsible for that possible problem
- if we are right- : the KZPSA, the HSZ40, the A2100 FW revision... ??
The system is running UNIX 3.2B, the HSZ40 FW rev is 2.7, the A2100
SRM FW is 3.11 and pal osfcode is U.35.
The customer has SAP version 2.2e, and cannot upgrade Unix because
of that. Another question would be: which is the higher SRM FW revision
and pal osfcode can we install without putting on risk the integrity
of SAP ??
Any help will be welcome.
Jordi Delgado
