Have the customer contact Digi -- it's a Digi product, after all.
We have seen these boards on various systems, but Digi knows what
they are willing to support, and what requirements they have...
http://www.digi.com, if memory serves.

72.2 | PC/8 works ok in the 400 | STAR::KENNEY | | Thu Mar 27 1997 14:26 | 14 |

If it is the old dumb one it works fine. I support the driver and
I do all the testing on a Alphastation 400. There is a trick, in V7.1
the isa_config.template file is gone. They need to continue to use the
obsolete isa_config.dat method to get the board loaded. Thus they need
a sample isa_config.dat, or isa_config.template they can edit and make
into isa_config.dat.
We are strongly encouraging folks to no longer purchase these older
controllers and migrate to the CXI01/DIGI Xem, EPC controllers. The
boards are simpler to install and offer higher data rates.

72.3 | What are the steps to get it to work? | JALOPY::CUTLER | | Thu Mar 27 1997 14:45 | 6 |
| Kenney,
Is there some documentation somewhere that describes the configuration
steps involved?

72.4 | This should do it | STAR::KENNEY | | Thu Mar 27 1997 18:21 | 15 |

Yup someplace there are guidelines. The short one below:
1) Halt system and get >>> prompt
2) Use ISACFG to add it
3) Boot system edit isa_config.template and remove comments for
digiboard, and make any changes needed. Save as isa_config.dat
4) Reboot
You should have 1 new TT device the digiboard should be TTA0. Just
use sysman and io connect to configure other 7 units. That is the same
as you had to do on 1000. The instructions are in isa_config.template.
