    	OpenVMS Alpha V6.2-1H3
    
    	I have a customer who wants to pre-create several FTA devices and
    he has discovered that SYSMAN>IO CONNECT works differently in this area
    than SYSGEN> CONNECT did on his VAXs
    
    	On his VAXs, he used to create several FTA devices which he would
    then associate with print queues. He could create FTA0 - FTA255 easily
    and with one command. Now on his Alpha, with the incompatibility
    between /NOADAPTER and /NUM_UNITS he cannot do this and has to create 
    his FTA devices in groups of 8 giving him FTAn, FTBn, FTCn, FTDn...
    
    	He'd prefer FTA0 - FTA255 like he was able to do on his VAXs. Is
    there any way to do this on Alpha?
