Hi!
A customer is experiancing the following shadow problem:
Configuration:
2 Alpha 1000 VMS 6.2
per System 2 KZPAA controllers ( A1,A2,B1,B2)
6 disks (RZ28 VA) dualhost (D1..D6)
3 shadowsets (S1..S3)
A1-----D1--D3--D5-----A2

Problem : If a disk is not accessible for the controller
( removed, defect... ), the time until the disk
is expelled from the shadowset is more then
20 seconds ( = SHADOW_MBR_TMO,SHADOW_SYS_TMO ).
The time the mount verification lasts is up to
15 Minutes.
This time delay is not acceptable for the customer becouse
links of the online-transaction systems get lost
Is this a known problem?
It sounds like a problem seen in VMS 6.1 with SCSI devices
and PACKACKs resulting in shadow_MBR_TIMEOUT = minutes
instead of seconds.
But I can't find this problem in the ALPSHADSxx_062
patches
