    HI,
    
    
    Now, the customer has OpenVMS 6.2 on VAX machine and convert DDIF file
    to postscript file in order to print on LPS17 printer.
    
    In order to sale Alphaserver we have tested the conversion of those files
    on alphastation OpenVms 7.0 / DCPS 3.2 / Decmigrate  with problems on the 
    IMG Share Library.
    
    On the same alphastation with OpenVMS 6.2 / DECmigrate / No problem !
    
    I have read the release notes of VMS 7.0 and have nothing found about
    the printing of DDIF files ?
    
    
    Could you said if this problem is known ?
    If well, will this problem solved on future versions ?
    Could you say how many time will support Digital DDIF format ?
    
    
    Thank in advance for your help and I am very confused if this problem
    is not very good explain but I am really not a specialist VMS !

As far as I know DCPS only supports printing DDIF files that are images but converting to PostScript first via $ CONV/DOC should work fine. > Could you say how many time will support Digital DDIF format ? 	DDIF is part of CDA, and CDA was spun off ("outsourced") a while back. Parts of CDA are installed with DECwindows. For information on CDA, see GALVIA::CDA.

	DCPS will print bitonal DDIF images only, and, for Alpha, requires that DECwindows Motif is installed. Paul
