Hi,
Since there does not seem to be a notes conference for OSDS software
I'll ask here:
Is there a verson of these pieces of software that will run on OpenVMS
AXP V7.1 ?
OSDS Optical Storage Desktop Software for OpenVMS AXP
OSDS Optical Storage Management Software for OpenVMS AXP
V3.4 seems to only go as far as V6.2.
If not, when will it be available ?
Is OSDS-5 the same thing ?

Please see the ELWOOD::OPTICAL notes conference for the information
available -- there's not much -- on OSDS support for OpenVMS Alpha
("AXP" was "retired") V7.0 and later. Specifically, see the notes
626.*, 772.*, 785.*, etc.
Per web IR, the answer is presently "no", though the OSDS product
manager may be willing to comment further on "if" and "when".
: Is OSDS-5 the same thing ?
There is ODS5 (which is quite different), and there is Optical Storage
Management Software (OSMS), and Digital Optical Desktop Management
Software (ODMS).

...use MSGAXP::OPTICAL. ELWOOD may or may not be part of that cluster
any more.
OVMS/Alpha V7.1 support is being worked... But you'll have to ask the
product manager for dates.

Just to complete this note stream...
OSDS-5 is the character string in the product name part of a OSDS
PAK. It is used to symbolize that the OSDS product can be used
with the 5� inch optical products. OSDS-12 is used for 12 inch
optical products.
