Can a DOSD device be a controller-based RAID-5 set ? The documentation says that a DOSD device can't be a "volume set", which would obviously eliminate a bound volume set, but its not clear to me if this also excludes using a controller-based RAID-5 set. Thanks, Marc

re .0 If the SPD doesn't answer your question then you should contact the relevant Product Manager. I would guess that if the controller makes the RAID-5 set look like a single disk then VMS would be none the wiser and that DOSD would work BUT what is supported is what is stated as supported. |
