Hello, I have a customer running 5.4 and the concern is about the MAY 19th VMS 10,000th day. Where if routines call up references using a delta time it breaks. Does anyone know if there is a patch for the time problem for VMS 5.4 and if so where I can get it. I already have the info for the patches for V5.5 - 7.0. Thanks in advance Dennis

Please see 238.*, and please see the Questions and Answers (Q&A; also known as the Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ) for this. -- There is presently no patch for V5.4 and there's probably no need for this at the customer site, though there is presently an investigation around back-porting the patch to all V5.x releases. Regardless, the customer will want to test the local site for time-related problems. I'd *strongly* recommend upgrading to a current release -- V7.1 is the current release. V5.4 is *not* supported. I'd also *strongly* recommend the customer follow the testing and review processes documented for both the 10K patch *and* for the year 2000... |
