355.0. "NET$FDDI patch for ALPHA V6.2?" by HGOSPS::KENNETH () Thu Mar 20 1997 05:38

Hi,

My customer is facing a problem on FDDI and the DECnet-OSI conference told
me that there is a FDDI patch that I can get if from VMS Engineering.

Is there anyone know what is the name of the patch? It is an ALPHA system
running V6.2.  It it ALPLAN04_062?

Thanks for your help in advance.

Kenneth Leung

    No. It's not normal. This is fixed in OpenVMS V7.0. Contact
    VMS Engineering to get NET$FDDI fixes for earlier OpenVMS versions.
    Note that you need to apply the fix to the <remote node> in order
    to get this to work properly.

   If it's not visible in the patch area via the search engine and if the
   fix is not clear from the ECO text from ALPLAN04_062, ask the person
   (BULEAN::ABERDALE) for more specifics, and -- if you cannot get a
   confirmation that ALPLAN04_062 fixes this problem -- log an IPMT.
