    I recently had a problem with mounting shadowsets and was advised by
    CSC to get the patch vaxclusio01_070 when it comes out, as this pulls
    shadowing up to 7.1 standard.  However, I have found vaxclusio01_062,
    but am confused as to whether I need to be running VAXCOMPAT_062 before
    I can load this patch onto the cluster.
    
    Can anyone advise?

        shipped with the VAXCOMPAT_062 Cluster Compatibilty Kit.  The
        OpenVMS Cluster Compatibility Kit provides many OpenVMS
        Version 7.1 enhancements for Version 6.2 systems.  This kit
        is required for Version 6.2 systems if they are included in
        a VMScluster with Version 7.1 systems (same system architecture
        or a mix of VAX and Alpha systems).  Optionally, users can
        install it on other OpenVMS Version 6.2 systems to derive the
        same benefits.

Please note that there are no plans for a CLUSIO0x_070.  Any customer
that is running V7.0 must upgrade to V7.1 to utilize the new SHADOW/MOUNT
code...

Volker is correct, CLUSIO01 does not require COMPAT_062.
