284.0. "4 UNDEFINED SYMBOLS INSTALLING CLUE 2.4, VMS 6.2" by MLNCSC::BORGINI () Wed Mar 05 1997 09:07

Hi folks,
        an important customer of mine has a problem about clue installation.

He has tried to install CLUE 2.4 on his VAX system with OpenVMS 6.2, without
success, on three different VAX systems.
He always obtains these errors:

***************************************************************************

   LINKING CLUE EXECUTABLE.....

 VMSINSTAL-E-INSFAIL, The installation of CLUE V2.4 has failed.

I've found anything on TIMA/Notes/Documentation.
Many thanks in advance for any possible hints.
Regards,
       Roberto.

284.2CLUE is part of OpenVMS VAX V6.0 (or higher)HAN::HALLEVolker Halle MCS @HAO DTN 863-5216Wed Mar 05 1997 11:3011

    CLUE is part of OpenVMS VAX since V6.0. No need to install CLUE024 or
    anything else.

    CLUE will automatically be invoked from VMS$DEVICE_STARTUP.COM during
    system startup. To use CLUE, just define a foreign command:

    	$ CLUE:==$CLUE
    	$ CLUE/DISPLAY
