269.0. "The return of GOSUB !" by COMICS::MILLSS ("Jump! Jump now!" ...Kosh) Mon Mar 03 1997 06:44
Stars article "[OpenVMS] RETURN From a GOSUB Resumes Execution In the Wrong
Place" says that this problem is fixed in OpenVMS VAX V6.2. Note 1323 in
VMSNOTES_V11 says that the problem still exists, but he never got a reply.
I now have a customer who is seeing this problem on OpenVMS Alpha V6.2-1H2 !
The workaround he is using is to manually place comment lines after his return
point to pad out the space so that the routine returns to the right line.
This begs the question was it ever really fixed ?
Has anyone else experienced this and if so was there ever a resolution ?
Thanks and regards,
Simon R. Mills

| Thanks Steve. I'll see if the customer wants to go down the IPMT road.
Regards,
Simon.
