Hi everybody.
These last days, the customer are asking how to order the OVMS media
H-kit 6.x version instead of 7.1.
Until now, with QA-09SAA-H8 (for VAX) and QA-MT1AA-H8 (for Alpha) we
delivered OVMS 7.0 and 6.2 together, but now with the same part-number
we only deliver 7.1.
I have read in some OVMS 7.1 web page, when you order a new system you
can specified you want it with 6.2. So you'll receive the system with
6.2 FIS.
But the problem appears when you don't order a system, you only want
the media kit.
For example, a customer with VAXstation and OVMS 5.5-2, wants to
upgrade to 7.1. The upgrade path will be 5.5-2 -> 6.1 -> 7.1. If I
order QA-09SAA-H8 we'll receive 7.1 software. How are they going to
upgrade to 6.1???
So, is there any different part-number to order OVMS media H-kit for
6.2 release,and another one for 7.1?
The same question is for OVMS VAX and Alpha.

Contact SSB and ask (likely the easiest), or (if you can find the
contact information) contact the European SSB (ESSB) directly.
The SSB folks are listed in VTX ATOZ (see below), and the internal
AltaVista search engine (http://altavista.pa.dec.com/) found the
ESSB site page (http://www.ilo.dec.com/) pretty quickly. From
the ESSB site, however, things get a little more "interesting".
(An `advanced' search for ESSB near DTN will get you some contact
names at ESSB, however.)
I've sent a message to the maintainer of http://www.ilo.dec.com/
letting them know they don't have this information posted...
