255.0. "ALPDRIV04_062/ALPSYS02_* replaced by ALPDRIV04_07?" by ATZIS2::KARTNER_M (HOUSTON, we have a problem) Thu Feb 27 1997 01:54

        Hi!

        I've got problems with selecting patches for a customer site.

        Oracle tells the customers to use the following patches on
        AXP VMS V6.2 Systems

        ALPDRIV04_062 and ALPSYS02_062

        the customer has the following patches installed

        ALPDRIV04_070 and ALPSYS07_070

        My investigations ended in a dead end row. It seems that the
    required
        patches aren't replaced by the installed ones. Am I right ?

                                                                    thanks
                                                                    Michael

    Hi!

    Here's what I found out looking through the release notes....

    ALPDRIV04_062 OK to install, not superseded by any patches
    ALPSYS02_062 OK to install, not superseded by any patches

    ALPDRIV04_070 OK to install/have installed, not superseded
    ALPSYS07_070  Obsolete, superseded by ALPSYS08_070.

    You can verify this by looking into TIMA TOOLS.
