| No there is no way to see *exactly* which kits have been installed. The
closest we come to is doing a DIRECTORY SYS$HELP:*.RELEASE_NOTES and
looking thru these files. Usually if there are Release Notes for a patch
kit in SYS$HELP then the kit has been installed. If you have questions on
a particular kit you can look at the ECO_SUMMARY article for the kit in
STARS and find the information needed to see if the files on disk are the
same or different than the ones in the kit.

| A little more information. There is nothing within VMS that will do this.
The GOLD team in the US CSC has a PROPATCH utility that collects
information from a customer system and then that information is checked
against a CSC database. This is done free of charge for GOLD customers and
as a revenue item for all others.

If this is an ALPHA system, SYS$UPDATE:VMSINSTAL.HISTORY
contains updates of whenever vmsinstal was used.
