229.2Use CANASTA E-MAIL ServerXDELTA::HOFFMANSteve, OpenVMS EngineeringThu Feb 20 1997 13:284
   Send the CLUE to CANASTA, then -- if nothing shows up in CANASTA
   seaches -- get the IPMT into the pipe. (CANASTA recognizes a very
   large number of crash footprints.)
229.3This is what CANASTA had to say...HAN::HALLEVolker Halle MCS @HAO DTN 863-5216Fri Feb 21 1997 03:0138

    I've sent the CLUE file to the CANASTA Mail Server for you. It shows
    the following cases with IDENTICAL FOOTPRINTS:

%CANASTA-I-SEARCH, searching for cases with similar footprints as VMSNOTES_229

BUGCHECK:       INVEXCEPTN
MODULE:         CACHE$TRUNCATE_C
OFFSET:         00000288
INSTRUCTION:    LDL

    The second footprint is from the IPMT associated with the STARS
    article you've found. I've also written a CANASTA rule for this
    problem, that will match on the case from Basingstoke (UVO), to tell
    them about this problem and ask for another dump and IPMT !

    Sending the CLUE output to CANASTA is as easy as sending mail:

    $ MAIL clue-file XOCOMP::CAN_SERVER/SUBJ="DIAGNOSE CASE=log-number"
    							    ^^^^^^^^^^
    							 your NICE log-number
