125.0. "alplan03_062 hold release info please." by KERNEL::ROBB () Fri Jan 31 1997 16:11

I have been looking at a system that is crashing with invexcptn at
NETDRIVER_NPRO+11D24: This happened during customer testing failover of
FDDI paths by unpluging cable and plugging into different ports.

As far as I can tell, this problem appears to be fixed in ALPLAN ECO.
There are references to CFS.34498 on related articles.

ALPLAN03_062 is on hold at present. Does anyone know

    a) When it is likely to come off hold?
    b) If the hold reason is in a piece of code unrelated to the fix for
the NETDRIVER_NPRO+11D24: problem, and if so, can the ECO be split and
    partially applied?

Log an IPMT and get into the queue -- the hold may or may not affect
this particular situation, or may be something that you can live/work
   with...

    Re: .0

The Sydney CSC accepted an 'ECO request' call for the corrected
ALPLAN ECO for my Customer recently and the ECO was shipped from there
just last week as ALPLAN04 .. so it seems to be available again.

    Thanks for the replies.

As ALPLAN04 does not appear to be available in Tima, I will use an IPMT
to get a solution to this one.

    Regards,

ALPLAN04_062 is still being qual'ed and may not be ready for prime time.
This TIMA kit will fix your problem although I believe it was fixed
by the hardware releases as well. The ALPLAN04_062 kit will add
support for the DE500-AA and will start using the EWx0_MODE console
    environment variables.

The ALPLAN04_62 kit will fix your problem but after I checked into
it I realized that the problem was not fixed by any of the hardware
    releases.
