103.0. "LIB-F-BADBLOADR Error, again" by CSC32::L_SOBCZYNSKI () Wed Jan 29 1997 08:18

			LIB-F-BADBLOADR Error

After going through the notes files and checking patches, I'm still
somewhat confused. I have a situation involving OpenVMS Alpha 6.2
with ALPF11X02_070 applied, when the DCL command DIR/SEC is done the
error LIB-F-BADBLOADR is rendered. The object does have a number of
ACLs on it, thus the error as reported against earlier versions of
OpenVMS, REF QAR 01231. In researching the situation it seems I ran
across a note on the topic of LIB-F-BADBLOADR having been fixed, then
ran across another article that stated it was fixed in a future release
and was not going to be back ported to OpenVMS 6.2. My simple questions
are as follows:

01- Has the problem been fixed?

02- What version of OpenVMS will the patch encompass, assuming 01 above
    is answered as Yes?

Thank you in advance for any information that is supplied on this topic.

Regards
Leonard

According to the Stars article on the subject (and updated
on the 7th of Jan 1997), the problem is

1 Fixed
2 Fixed in V7.1 of OpenVMS.

There is no mention of an existing patch for earlier releases so you
would need to IPMT your customers case to request one.

That is sorta the conclusion that I came to, wanted to be sure, saw no
sense in making waves on calm waters.

    Thanks again Ken.
