  Hi, 
     we have a customer with rare problems about control TL812 in MDMS.
     He is working with OpenVMS/ALPHA V6.2 , ABS V2.1 & MDMS V2.8.
          ( AlphaServer 1000  memory 192 M )

     when I insert more starage class & execution environment & save request,
     the performance is bad.
     example : $ abs/inter=decw 
               $ select --> set storage class 
                 select --> * 
       ********  wait about 30 secends *********                
         
 
   problem: how to improve ABS GUI performance ?

    We are aware of this problem.  Instead of using * in the list box to
    specify the request names, please narrow it down by specifying partial
    string, such as smith*, or june04*.  The smaller the amount of data
    is transmitted, the faster it works.
    
    We are planning to make this sort of wildcrad show operation work
    faster in a future version of ABS.
