461.0. "ABS/OMT Differences ?" by NNTPD::"[email protected]" (Alberto Yanguas) Mon May 19 1997 05:38

Hi all,

I'm evaluating different solutions for a customer backup project.

Looking for the differences between ABS and ABS OMT I've found the Digital
Confidential Document:
"""""
ABS V2.1 & ABS/LITE
Engineering Plan
Version 2
September 18, 1996
"""""

My question is very simple:

Are the differences stated in this documment valid and actual
for the current product releases ?

Regards
Alberto

Hi,

There is a cooklist on how to improve OpenVMS Backup performance.
It is based mainly in username account quotas (WSQUOTA, BYTLM, ...)

Is this still valid when doing backups with ABS ?

I ask this because I remember something in the past with SLS having
a special backup image with WSQUOTA 'hardcoded', so no influence when
changing username quotas.
