Hi! I've got a problem with NT clients that looks extremly like a problem that was escalated for UNIX clients by me (allready fixed) If the ip port on the NT station gets hung or the NT station is powercycled the save request hangs forever at the VMS server and stays computing. The customer told me that even the deletion of the ABS subprocess running the backup did complete the SAVE JOB !!!!! thanks Michael

Part of this problem was fixed in V2.1 ECO1. It has recently been discovered that there is an additional window in which UBS can potentially hang if the client only partially goes away. I am looking into this problem now. Will post results shortly. Lyle |
