Hi,

If a UNIX save is done with compression turned on, can we restore it with
compression turned on?  Couldn't find a qualifier to add to the restore 
command.  Is there one or is done automatically?  Thanks.

	Ted, There is no /compression qualifier for the restore command. There is a qar (1532) on this already. The thought is that ABS should know that this was compressed and do the right thing. That is not currently the case. There will be a few things that must be done to make this work, we don't like the idea of just adding the qualifier. If we just added the qualifier, that would mean that the user must know whether they saved it compressed or not. Too much possible user-error in that scenario. Until we fix this, to do the restore with compression, you must create the restore in the GUI. The GUI does let you set that attribute. Another possible way to do this would be to put the compression switch as an agent option on the restore. I have not tried that. Chris

	Thanks Chris...I missed that one big time. BTW, its (3.1.5.2) in my 2.1 release notes. Is that correct or do I have an old version (again)?
