430.0. "restore on or before in ABS 2.1" by ROM01::MENCHICCHI () Thu Apr 17 1997 04:05

    I have the same problem described in notes 102.0.

    Customer have a backup scheduled every day during the night. If this
    backup fails customer restart backup during the morning after; in the
    same day run the regular backup scheduled during the night.

    How do i restore the backup started during the morning?

    I read in 102.4 (dated 10-may-1995) that this
    'less-than-one-day granularity' will be
    fixed, but in ABS 2.1 I find the same problem.

    Customer needs this functionality now; what is the answer?
    Thanks, Lorena

This has been fixed in the code base. It will be in the version after 2.1.
When do you need this functionality?

430.2why not a ECO?ROM01::MENCHICCHIThu Apr 17 1997 10:159
    NOW.
    Customer wants replace SLS with a product that is able to manage a
    mixed-enviroment, so we are proposing ABS as a solution; but HE NEEDS
    this functionality works.
    You write that this has been fixed in the code base; so why we must
    wait for the next release? you can't produce a ECO for current version?

    Ciao, Lorena

The current plan looks like an eco release sometime in July. This may
be a month or 2 off...
