    Hi,
    
    doing a restore of a file from a saveset nearly on EOT the time to 
    positioning to EOT is about 2 hours. (SZ107)
    Also when doing my daily saves (all to the same tape until the tape
    fills up) the time to position the tape is longer than the backup
    itself. With my 5 clients the incremented time to position is 10 hours 
    and no single bit is saved meanwhile.
    Some tuning or setup hints?

    Hi Thomas,
    
    This problem will be fixed with the feature planned in ABS for the
    next release called "fast tape positioning".  I will be investigating
    how to do this shortly.
