362.6Volume name on lookup commandCOOKIE::HELLWIGThu Feb 06 1997 09:4418
We're planning on fixing the catalog lookup problem in the next
release of ABS. The volume name will be displayed in either the
lookup/full or report save_log command.

As far as the restore failing if the volume is not in the
jukebox... I've got mixed feelings about this one. It
seems to me that it's just as easy to resubmit the restore
request once the volume has been imported into the jukebox
as it is to reply to an OPCOM request once the volume has
been imported into the jukebox. Either way the user is
going to have to perform some manual steps (import volume,
reply to opcom/resubmit restore) to get the restore
to complete successfully. For now I'm leaning towards
letting the restore fail with the volume not in jukebox
error.  Thoughts?

I tend to agree with this as well, as long as there is a
way to see what volume will be used to restore (via the
catalog lookup). As I mentioned before, ABS (as well
as SLS) are not advertised to be unattended restore
systems.
