Hi, I need to know if Defrag is impacted by the OpenVMS delta time limit. After having installed VAXLIBR06_070 or ALPLIBR05_070 do we need to reinstall defrag ? Maria.

532.1 | DFO not affected by OpenVMS delta time upgrade | COOKIE::AMEND | Tue Apr 22 1997 09:16 | 15 | |
Maria I installed VAXLIBR06_070 and ALPLIBR05_070 and did not have to reinstall DFO. I have gone over the the code to make sure DFO is not affected by the delta time limit. DFO uses delta time, but unless you queue up a job for over 10000 days from a time you should not see it. You cannot put in a delta time of 10000 days anyway. The problem shows up with programs that figure out time using UNIX time which in turn calls OpenVMS delta time routines. DFO use OpenVMS time. thanks jim amend |
