    How much do England need to win?
17.3IOSG::jonpc1.reo.dec.com::alffa::buttonJon Button@REOMon Feb 17 1997 12:595
They need 305 in the 4th innings to win (i.e. 187 more runs).

Should be an interesting last day.

    A few stats:

    Atherton was MOTM.

    England's first away series win for five years - I suspect this was
    also against New Zealand.

    Only the second time they have scored more than 300 in the fourth
    innings to win a Test.

    Andy Caddick was named "Biggest Ears of the Series"

    One of the above is not true.

    The third one at a guess.

    Another turning point in English cricket.
    HA HA HA HO HO HO HE HE HE

SHould be another "interesting Ashes series"
    HA HA HA HO HO HO HE HE HE

    Sorry you must forgive my (chortle) belief (gibber)
    in the (he he) English establishment's ability
    to survive (HA HA HA) without winnning.
