3969.0. "Towerset not found for <address>" by FUNYET::ANDERSON (OpenVMS pays the bills) Thu May 22 1997 14:43
Whenever a user on node CSCMA accesses a Notes conference on node HUMANE, the
note is entered with the numeric address 18649 instead of CSCMA. CDI$TRACE
shows that DECdns returns "Towerset not found for <address>" when looking up
NET$490012AA000400D94820.
I've included the CDI trace and DNS output below.
Why is this happening?
Paul

| DNS is telling the truth. There is no
DEC:.dna_backtranslation.%x49.%x0012.%xaa000400d948 object. This node isn't
completly registered.
The SHR site people should try DECNET_REGISTER function 5 (repair links).
Thanks for bringing this up,
John Saunders
