Is it possible to utilize Decnet over an asynchronous link withD a modem?
If yes how?

No. The necessary drivers were never ported to Alpha by OpenVMS engineering. Async DECnet sucks eggs anyway (take it from one that had to use it for a year). You'd be much better off setting up a SLIP link and running DECnet over IP (which is what I do - 28.8 modem at 56700 baud; nice, fast, reliable). --Scott | |||||
