Multi-circuit configuration rule number 3 : -All the links must provide similar paths to the other nodes. The circuits must not lead to disjointed networks. no matter which circuit is taken, there must be a path to the remote system. Asymmetrical topologies are not supported. Is the following topology not supported then ? Everything is in area 1. ====================== | DECnis | | ============================================== | DECnet/OSI End system | ==================================== | DEcnis | | ============================= Andrew

It is not supported in DECnet-Plus multi-circuit end systems.
If these DECnis are running Routing Vector at level 1,
in DECnet-Plus V7.1, you can bring up the node as a
level 1 (host based) router. That should work.
