43.0. "Server Debug Flags... for whne the going gets tough" by HERON::ROWLANDS (Rob Rowlands @vbo 828 5480) Wed Apr 30 1997 10:05
From Informatica:
Currently except for the only debug flags we have in the pmserver.cfg
file or NT registry, we do not have a tracing mechanism to debug the session.
These debug flags put in a lot of info in the pmserver.log/NT Event Viewer and
so need to watch when to turn them on.
UNIX: Edit the pmserver.cfg and go the bottom of the file and add the
following info:
DebugScrubber=4
DebugWriter=1
DebugReader=1
DebugDTM=1
ReadDumpFile=./readumpfile
NT: Go into the registry: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE
SYSTEM
CURRENT CONTROL SET 001
SERVICES
POWERMART
PARAMETERS
MISC
and add the following parameters with the following values using the
EDIT menu button.
DebugScrubber=4
DebugWriter=1
DebugReader=1
DebugDTM=1
ReadDumpFile=./readumpfile
To turn them OFF, in UNIX, just comment it out with a # sign and in NT delete
the keys manually.
These Debug flags are only for internal use, even though we give them to the
customers in critical situations and assist in their development but are not
fully supported. i.e. Customer cannot rely on them to work perfectly.
Let me know if you have any further questions
thanks
