Howdy,
I am currently helping out a team responding to an RFP for a
DataWarehouse opportunity. The RFP requires details on DSS tools that
can be used as skinny clients, particularly through use of Intranet/Internet
Browser technology. A tool that has been considered is Information Advantage,
however the server component does not run on Digital Platforms at this stage.
My questions are:
1) Are there any DSS tools currently on the market that support a skinny
client, and that run the server portion on Digital Hardware and
Operating Systems
2) What DSS tools are available at the moment that utilise
Intranet/Internet Browser technology as the front-end

One of our VAR's(MSA) has a product that they are introducing called Business Web. It is a Netscape or Internet Explorer plug-in that sits on the client and talks to their server package that supports EssBase and Oracle Express. They do the graphing,charting,etc.. for the client.
