Eventually we drop support for old versions of NSR but
it should be supported ok. You'll need V4.2B for DU 3.2C.
You should also upgrade to V4.3 for your NT boxes, V4.2
is the NT Intel release with lots of problems (V4.2A for
NT Alpha or 4.2.1 for NT Intel are ok but for NT the latest
version is the one which gets new patches, not an older
version).

Hello Filippo,

Your customer has intention to use:

. a Networker Server working Digital UNIX V4.0b
          (with Networker V4.3)
          Ok, no prob.
          %%% %%% BUT %%% %%%
your customer MUST INSTALL THE FOLLOWING PATCHES :
New patchID 70 and 71 !!! and make a kernel rebuild and reboot
before trying to install NSR server.

. clients working Digital Unix V3.2c
(which Networker version is suggested ?)
The minimal release supported with 3.2c is NSR3.2A
Either that your customer is using last, a good thing should be
to install 4.2A or 4.2b client.

. clients working Windows NT V3.51
          (with Networker V4.2)
           I think that's wrong. For Windows NT3.51, it's only 4.1
4.2 (intel release), 4.2A (intel release), and 4.3 (intel and
Alpha)
are only made for Windows NT4.0 ...

Kind Regards,

This is INACCURATE! Please bother to read the SPDs before posting.

There was no 4.1 server for NT. 4.2 and 4.2.1 were for the Intel platform.
4.2A was for the Alpha platform (which was equivalent to 4.2.1 + an extra
patch or so). 4.3 is for NT 3.51 and NT 4.0, there are intel and alpha releases.
Legato has recently released version 4.4 for intel and it still is supposed to
support 3.51, not just 4.0.

I know these things are hard to stay on top of, but I hope you won't stop
people from upgrading to 4.3 if they have NT 3.51.
