715.0. "output diff between saveindex and savegroup -O command ??" by NNTPD::"[email protected]" (Albertino) Tue May 27 1997 11:05

Hi,

A customer had upgraded from NSR v3.2 to v4.2b .
He used with NSR v3.2 the saveindex command , and now he must use
savegroup -O to save each client's index.

But there is a output difference between saveindex and savegroup -O .

with saveindex :
hostname:/var/nsr/index/hostname level size number_of_files
with savegroup -O :
 lonesome:/var/nsr/index/clutwo 2 records 1 KB header 14 KB data

but there is no level information and no number_of_files info too.
If we choose the -v qualifier then the output is too important now .

Is it possible to obtain a summary information of the saved index like the
saveindex command in v3.2 ? (without editing the /nsr/logs/messages file)

Thanks for help

Albertino
