Hi, I have a customer running NSR V3.1A server on a Unix box and 3.51 of the NSR client on an NT box running Windows NT 3.51 SP5. Intermittently the exec service stops on the NT client and has to be restarted. There is an article in STARS titled ' NSR 3.1a, AXP and Intel NT NSR clients randomly drop Exec service' which describes the same problem. Engineering provided a solution but the article does not say what the solution was. As 3.51 is an old version of the client the obvious thing to do is to upgrade to V4.3. However does anyone know whether this version of the client fixes this particular problem ? Thanks in advance, Geoff Judd.

Hmm, the person who would really have that info at the tip of their tongue is out of the office for a bit (so it will take a while to find exactly which problem you are referring to and when/how it was resolved). Needless to say, the 4.3 client has fixes for so many other problems, I really suggest you upgrade anyway. Amy [email protected] decwet::lenox |
