DU 3.2G Networker 4.2B I've tried an online backup with NSR/SAP module and I've saw that a lot of Oracle tables are freezed (SQL command with 'begin backup') in same time. This is not very performant because it makes a big redolog activity. What can be done to avoid this ? BRBACKUP documentation reports of a specific .utl file for online backup, and I've not saw this file ! Regards. JF

try setting the parallel setting to 1 - in fact, I think you either have a bad configuration, or you have a bug. Can you find the backint.log (/nsr/logs usually)? If so, then look through it for clues on what it is trying to do. If it makes no sense, then send it to me, and I'll try to explain it to you. if you cannot find the backint.log, then you have a bad configuration, and need to fix that first. perhaps (for yourself, not the customer) see ftp://ftp.zso.dec.com/pub/networker/kits/SAP/V1.1/documentation/ to help guide you in determining the configuration issues (if any). |
