We have a customer who received a NT/NSR 4.3 evaluation copy which they are trying to install on their Alphastation 2100 running NT 4.0. When they go to the Administrator's GUI they get the following message: status_invalid_image_format This also happens if they go to the Networker User GUI as well. I compared winadmin and winworkr.exe and they are the same size and date I have. I also sent them my exe's of these, and still the same problem. Any ideas? Ed NT/Backoffice

Well, I'd guess something else about the system is 'interesting', I suggest finding out more about the system and we can try to isolate what it is.. What service packs and hotfixes? What kind of video card/driver do they have? Did the evaluation copy installed without any errors/messages? Was the eval copy installed from a cd or something else? What else do they use this system for? I'll look in the code for the error, but I don't think it will be enlightening (my guess). | |||||

Are the services running? can they use nsradmin (command line)? After that we'd like to know if save would run... Otherwise, are they running anything interesting like eXcursion, PATHWORKS, netscape, etc? Did they install any software after NSR which overwrote any system libraries? What about their screen resolution and stuff like that? Are they using a special monitor, video card, ??? |
