What version of exchange are you using at what service
pack level? (note that Exchange 4.0 on NT 4.0 SP2 was not
tested & is not currently listed as supported, so some
variety of problems could exist, although other things
aside, it should work). Do you have the docs (incl. rel.
notes)?
Otherwise...
Do normal NSR client backups work (aside from Exchange module)?
Is the time setup properly on your client (& server) system?
What is the date/size of the nwmsexch.exe file?

We have Exchange 4.0 Build 994.64 Service pack 3 running on Nt 4.0 sp2. Normal
NSR backups work find on the server, it's just the exchange IS, DS that do not
work...
The time on both systems are exactly the same.
The nwmsexch.exe file is 1047kb dated 3/13/97

And did you swap out the broken SP 3 dll mentioned
in the release notes for the SP 2 dll?

Sorry this has taken so long but we finally were able to swapp out the DLL
mentioned in the release notes. It still doesn't work but the error in the
savegrp.log file is slightly different:
css-amazko2ac:MSEXCH server was unexpected at this time.
