I am a sales person responsible for the Kennedy Space Center account in Florida... This question is a bit difficult for me to ask becuase I am really not sure what the issue it. But here it is..... My customer is using NSR and has purchased the NSR Alpha server software and the NSR PC client kit. It appears as if they need a newer version - 4.3 - which I ordered for their evaluation through our internal distribution group. What shipped was NSR client v 4.1 which apparetnly does not have support for NT 4.0. The customer does have v 4.3 server and this seems O.K.. My question: Is there a 4.3 client version available which supports NT 4.0? I have tried to order through the formal process but each time I do so I am told that they do not yet have the version that supports NT 4.0. Please help or point me in the right direction... Thanks! The currently shipping verion of NetWorker for Windows NT Alpha is V4.3. It supports NT V3.51 and NT V4.0 on the Alpha platform. The previous version, V4.2A, does not support NT 4.0. The media which the customer receives for NetWorker includes both the V4.3 server and client. There never was a V4.1. The only other version extant is a client only version, V3.51, which has been out of stock for at least a year. As a final resort, you can read the SPD if there is a question about what versions of the OS are supported. It never hurts. |
