459.2 | Documents messed up | CSC32::J_MACGOWN | CSC/CS Remote Support | Fri May 09 1997 04:18 | 16 |
| Hi,
I pulled all of the exchange and sql postscript files from the
following location:
ftp.zso.dec.com /pub/networker/documentation/NT_SQL_Exchange/V1.0
and they all print messed up. About every line there are many words
that overlap each other. This is to the point that it's pretty much
unreadable. I tried two different systems (VMS based) and two different
printers with the same result. Can somone post either Word or Acrobat
versions of these manuals or fix the ones that are there.
Thanks,
Johnny Mac

The readme in the directory with the documentation
does note that the docs will print on a printserver 17,
and may or may not print on other printers. This is a
very common complaint that we don't have a lot of
control over.
I'll see if we can release any .doc files, there are no
acrobat files for the NT Alpha NetWorker documentation.

There are a few framemaker to html converters, but so far they don't run too
reliably -- don't know if the latest version of frame supports direct html
output.

459.8 | So how to I get readable books then? | CSC32::J_MACGOWN | CSC/CS Remote Support | Fri May 16 1997 03:40 | 13 |
| OK,
So now I'm stuck. I can't seem to locate a PrintServer 17 anywhere.
I need the books mentioned in .2 in order to support customers from the
CSC. The books I printed can't be read. I tried to order the books via
LOS but it can't find the part numbers. I did a global search of
Networker and NSR in LOS and came up with nothing. So how do I get a
copy of those books?
Thanks,
John MacGown

| Hi John
Most software books need to be ordered from the SSB; hardware
documentation and promotional material is the province of LOS.
