450.0. "os_mibs warning" by ALFSS2::ZURIK_E () Mon Mar 03 1997 08:39

    Customer recently upgraded to UNIX V4.0b from V3.2g. In the
    process he deinstalled DECnsr 4.2b and then reinstalled it on UNIX
    V4.0b after the upgrade. He did save his indexes from what was
    backed up so he is using them from when he was running UNIX V3.2g.

    Customer now gets the following in the messages file.

    Feb 26 10:09:27 pw0nsr os_mibs[2998]: os_mibs WARNING os_mibs.c line
    562: k_initialize can't open kinfo, errno = 19

    NSR is working OK. I know this has something to do with SNMP.
    Any ideas?

    This has been happening since I upgraded to DUNIX 4.0b.

    NSR version is 4.2b

    Platform ALPHA 2100, 256MB RAM, FDDI connected

    I hope this helps.

    I installed the latest set of DUNIX patches titled v40b_patches.tar
    this
    morning to see what I could see. The problem still exists.

    Thank you in advance
