Hello,
I have the following problem.
A customer has an AIX box with AIX 4.1.4, X11R5, Motif 1.2
We have installed the last NSR AIX Client kit, took in slugbt, V4.2.3.
NSR works fine, except the graphical programs (nwbackup, nwadmin...)
which fall because they don't find the shr.o file in the library file
/usr/lib/libX11.a.
The libX11.a file contains a shr4.o and shr4net.o files but not the
shr.o that the NSR files needs.
I have seen in an AIX V3.1 that the shr.o module is well in the libX11.a
library.
Of course i can include the shr.o module in the libX11.a file in
the AIX V4.1.4, but does anybody have seen this problem ?
And have the NSR kit be linked with the AIX V4.1.4, X11R5 libraries ?
Any help would be welcome.

Relax, this is a big project, the customer has well bought the
software NSR for AIX to Digital. In this project, SI Digital has installed
this software, and the customer is asking me about this problem, (i'm
on site for the starting of all the applications...)
I'll go to AIX conference.

Many thanks for your answer.
This project is 6 Millions dollars, one NSR server, 15 clients, CA
Unicenter, ASE...(see the note 226 in this notefiles and many thanks
for the patch NSR-ASE which solve the problem).
In fact, Digital SI has installed NSR AIX in November 1996. I have seen
this problem, and i have copy the kit from slugbt, but i have seen that
the nwadmin, and nwbackup are the same images and i have no installed
this kit again.
I have no seen a special notefiles for AIX, i'll apply my solution,
extract the shr.o file from an AIX 3.1, and install it in the libX11.a
library, or maybe the salesman will make an action.
