The SPD has a nice outline of the steps one goes through when
ordering, have you seen it. I think it is pretty clear but...
When you order a license, you should get the corresponding
enabler code. There are some steps customers must go through
once they have the enabler codes to actually license the
system indefinitely, see documentation for that.
There are only jukeboxes/autochangers with NSR on NT, no loader
support.
When you load an NSR server onto NT, it allows one to use the
networked server with up to 10 client connection licenses,
any jukebox, archive is enabled, sql and exchange are enabled
as well (this is for other add on client modules). The major
restriction is the 10 connection licenses. The on line kits
are for internal use only, I've asked the PM where one should
get such kits.
I've forwarded the question regarding evaluation enablers for
jukeboxes to the PM as well. I'm sure there is some process
for that.

| >If customer wants to use a try-out kit for 30 days, how should I handle then?
>- Supply the Alpha.zip ??
>- does this function also for Libraries and loaders.??
Have sales issue a loan of products for the QA-560AA-H8 kit. The
software will work, full-function, for 30 days. Autochanger
support is included for this time.
>If a customer ordered the official NST NT Alpha kit including, loader license,
>what does he recieve?
>- Is this the Software kits and License papers including enabler codes.?
>- Or only including license and has to request enabler codes?
Licenses and kits are ordered separately. QA-560**-H* is the CD
and documentation. QM-56***-** are licenses.

437.3 | NSR WNT Alpha, Enaber codes, licenses | DECWET::BROWNE | | Mon Feb 24 1997 10:16 | 8 |
| Wes is correct. You need to contact Kathy Ross at 1-800-277-8988 ext. 4336 to arrange for a loan of products.
This loan of products will give you the entire NetWorker for Windows NT Alpha product line to use for 30 days.
When a customer orders the NetWorker for Windows NT License they receive an enabler certificate with a unique
enabler code. The customer then needs to register this enabler code to get a permanent authorization code.
Instructions are in the documentation.

Do the SQL/Exchange client kits on the www.zso.dec.com Web server

Enablers are loaded onto the server, not the client.
See topic 12 (currently .7) for internal enabler requests.
