    hi,

we recently implemented an NSR configuration with 1 Alphaserver255
(NSR server) and a Netware and OS2 clients.

while doing a full restore operation of any of the clients the
NSR server simply hangs and we end up aborting the restore session.

has any one of you faced such a problem. the machines are connected
    over a 10baseT network.

The Alphaserver has 128MB of RAM, the Netware client has 64MB.

Is there anyway to circumvent this problem. We are thinking of
adding more network controllers and an ethernet switch to isolate
    the user and NSR operations.

Can this problem be solved by merely configuring the server and
policies right? I need inputs on this...

    thanxs in advance

| Sudhir, We need more information as to the nature of the hang. Do any backups start? Is any data written to the tape? Do any backups complete? Do you get error messages in the daemon.log file or the savegroup completion report? Wes | |||||
